does anyone know who to contact about getting bulbs from the city to plant around the trees lining the street? i’d like to do it…i know it’s a bit late, but there’s probably still time?
also, can you do a bit on the wonderful looking community gardens around greene/quincy/marcy, etc? i’d likw to know more-how to join, etc.

The daffodil bulb giveaway was in September or October and I’m sure they had a good turn out, so I hope that the city will offer it again this fall. Are any other readers aware of free bulb giveaways for spring planting?
We’re going to do a story on the community gardens in May so please stay tuned!

Daffodil bulbs get planted in the fall. This past fall was the first time the Daffodil Project was extended to residents; I hope they’ll continue. I got some through my neighborhood association, so best thing would be to get in touch with your local groups.

The famous Flatbush Gardener!?! Thanks for commenting.
When I do the upcoming post on community gardens I’ll be sure to include contact information so that anyone interested can get involved.
