Project Re-Generation’s 5th Annual Community Pride Day 07.07.07

Bed-Stuy and Brooklyn residents are invited to PR-G’s (Project Re-Generation) 5th Annual Community Pride Day (CPD) featuring The Hip Hop Magician. CPD is the largest free annual cook-out in Bed-Stuy. Over the past four years CPD has provided a free fun-filled day for members of the Bed-Stuy community. Attendees received free food sponsored by community restaurants, participate in games, competitions, community cleanup initiatives, and live entertainment. Community Pride Day is perfect for summer school groups, Bed Stuy residents, families, couples, congregations, youth groups, teenagers, children and adults.

Approximatley 1,500 – 2,500 people will attend this year’s CPD. Fifty volunteers will partipate in the event. Along with The Hip Hop Magician, there will various other artists and performers. Music will be provided by “Brooklyn’s Finest DJ.”Â

PR-G’s mission is to eliminate teen idleness through holistic programs such as Comunity Pride Day, the Foot Soldiers Program, the Rites of Passage Program and the Hybrid. You can read about PR-G in our previous post here or PR-G’s website.
