Funny to be serving burgers at the screening! Do you know if this a one-time movie night at the Green Acres Community Garden? Do they have other movie nights? A schedule of events?

I chuckled at the irony of it too! Maybe everyone will opt for the veggie burgers and salad when they see the movie. I never saw the movie, but I read the book and it definitely made me change my diet.
I’m so glad that Green Acres is showing this film, and I hope that they continue to offer screenings throughout the summer season. I’ve emailed them to see if we can look forward to additional films in the coming weeks.
If you enjoy film screenings and would like to see more of them in Bed-Stuy, please get out and support the neighborhood groups like Green Acres who bring these great events into our nabe.

We would like the community to come out to the new organic market on that evening before the screening to support the latest addition to the Bed Stuy community on the corner of Halsey near Stuyvesant. We also have a brand new boutique on Tompkins and Decatur that opened in the past two weeks, and a new cafe soon to be opening on Malcolm X and Patchen.

Wasn’t Fast Food Nation a book by Eric Schlosser which detailed the culinary scene in Bed-Stuy?
