“David S. Ransom presents An Evening of Fashion, Friday, August 17th, 8 p.m. at Denim Lounge, 1223 Bedford Avenue (corner of Halsey & Bedford). Ransom House will be presenting the latest styles for career, casual, evening, and playful accessories for the fall season.

Tickets in advance are $7.00 and $10.00 at the door. To purchase tickets in advance, call 718-623-2100. The show begins promptly at 8 p.m.”

So, who is David Ransom and what is Ransom House? I googled, and there are lots of “Ransom Houses” out there, most of them historic monuments, not fashion houses.
