I don’t know exactly, but they look like a much-needed solution to the scarcity of good food in the hood. Anyway, they’re having a party tomorrow and you’re invited:
Kalabash Food Coop this Saturday is having a get-together with a sound system (strictly Rootz/DUB) reggae by Ras Ibu and King Alpha.
Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 12noon till 7pm, 248 Tompkins Ave. (corner of Lafayette)
Come meet us and have some refreshments, raw food, fruits to eat and more. All vegan, all organic… all free… bring your friends… bring your organic vegan treat.
Children welcome (Von King Park is right across the street).
Also, if you want to volunteer that day, come with comfortable shoes and join our outreach team. They will be going around the neighborhood giving out fliers and signing up people interested in learning more about organic food and particularly about Kalabash Food Coop Buying Club.
