If you’re a blogger, or thinking about becoming one, join us at our monthly gathering at the French African restaurant, Le Toukouleur. You’ll get a chance to enjoy wonderful food and great company in the largest neighborhood in Brooklyn. Spouses and significant others are welcome! Meet and mingle with the cool folks who blog all over our borough.

Come spend the afternoon in Bed-Stuy and experience the many personalities of the neighborhood. You can take a walk along the southern section of the neighborhood with its beautiful brownstones and gorgeous architecture or you can soak up the industrial, ever-changing landscape of the northern part of the neighborhood. You’ll find that there’s no other Brooklyn neighborhood quite like it!

Sunday, September 30th
1:00 p.m.
Le Toukouleur Restaurant
1116 Bedford Avenue @ Quincy Street
Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn

Directions to Le Toukouleur: Take the G train (yes, the G train) to Bedford-Nostrand. Once you arrive at the train stain, exit through the Bedford Avenue exit, and you’ll be at the intersection of Bedford and Lafayette. Walk south on Bedford, against the traffic, 4 blocks to Quincy Street. Le Toukouleur is located on the southwest corner of Bedford and Quincy.

With the exception of granola, what do the vegetarian and non red-meaters get to eat?

The non red-meat eaters can opt for the chicken salad, or I can arrange for them to have the house salad if they prefer no meat at all. If you like seafood then I can offer you crab cake over greens.

(Although there are not many veg selections on the brunch menu, I would like to let anyone reading this know that Le Touk does have veg selections on their DINNER menu. Every time I go there for dinner I get the vegetarian mafe because it’s so good.)

Yikes! I’ve been looking forward to this for so long, and the menu is so enticing, but I’ve come belatedly to the realization that this Sunday is when I promised my daughter I would take her to the Medieval Fair in Fort Tryon Park.

Please accept my heartfelt regrets. I’d greatly appreciate it if, during the shout-out, you would extend them to all present. Best wishes for a great gathering.

Awww! Claude, we’ll miss you! I found out after I scheduled it that it would be the same day as the medieval fest. I usually attend the Fort Tryon festival with a friend of mine who is into swords and witches and warlocks and whatnot. Have a good time! :)
