Childhood Obesity Seminar for Families and Children

Delta Rho Omega Chapter and Alpha Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will be hosting a Childhood Obesity Seminar in support of our regional Help Other People Excel (H.O.P.E.) Community Service Project. The purpose of the H.O.P.E. project is to help improve the quality of human life through community service. This year our mission in support of the H.O.P.E. project is to provide possible solutions to the disease of childhood obesity in the Brooklyn community.

Where: Bed-Stuy Multi-Service Center , 4th floor
1958 Fulton Street (between Howard & Ralph Ave.)
Time: 10:00 am-1:00 pm
Registration Deadline: November 15, 2007
This FREE three-hour interactive seminar will service families and children between the ages of 8-13 by providing workshops on healthy eating and physical exercise, along with group activities for the children. Snacks will be served. This event is sponsored by the Center for Disease Control Youth Campaign & SUBWAY.
