This is blatant theft. The idea to select real estate listings and profile them on the blog is one I took from BushwickBk, but I’m giving credit where credit is due. I copied the format, the font color, the everything. Thanks Jeremy! I’d also like to thank Leo deLeon for the listings!
#1 — $1400 — 1br: This is a cool Stuyvesant Heights apartment. The garden is GREAT–just get yourself one of those fancy chiminerias and you might be able to get a few more good days out of that garden space before the holidays. As if the garden weren’t enough, all utilities are included, and it has exposed brick and hardwood floors.

PICK OF THE WEEK!
#2 — $1500 — 1br: This is a gorgeous Stuyvesant Heights apartment! It’s got a lot of original details–Tiffany stained glass on the outer windows as well as on an archway between the two front rooms. Check out the photos above. You better hope that this gem hasn’t been swiped up already! Available immediately!
Near A/C trains and shops
#3 — $1400 — 1br: I’m not sure about this one. There aren’t enough photos to tell if it is great apartment or not, and I’m inclined to think that fewer photos means fewer nice things to see. I’ll admit that I like the bathroom, though. It’s only one block away from the train, so that’s a serious plus.

#4 — $1400 — 1.5br: This is a basic apartment, but it looks like it gets a lot of light. This would be great for that renter suffering from seasonal affective disorder. Like the previous listing, this one has a nice bathroom. It says that there is an extra half bedroom, so I’m guessing that you could have a separate home office if you needed one.

This week’s picks come from a single broker, but I’m hoping in the future to have multiple broker and FSBO listings. If you’re looking to sell or rent a property please email me your photos (please make sure they are nice and clear) and the details for the listing (# beds, # baths, location, closest train stop, and anything else you think is noteworthy). Email thechangeling AT bedstuyblog DOT com and be sure to include REAL ESTATE in the subject heading of your email. If it works we’ll try to make this a weekly feature.

I guest you dont visit the Brownstoner site where this is a daily occurance.
I’m sure there are enough real estate picks to go around.
I would say the the hair pick icon for “picks of the weeks” has more Brooklyn in it the the ‘wick blog and Brownstoner combined.
Thanks BedStuyblog I truly appreciate your site, and what it has done and is doing towards the growth and awareness of the community.
Thanks, Leo!
I look forward to getting some more great real estate picks from you.
i love the afro pick. love it!
The pick is the best thing I’ve seen all day!
are #1 and #2 supposed to link to the same pics?
LOVE the pick! You are so clever!
these are great choices for apts. keep this up, it’s great to see these places and what’s out there.
I’m so glad that folks like this feature, and I’m really glad people liked the pink pick!
#1 and #2 do link to the same page. The pick of the week represents the first set of photos and the #1 garden apt. listing is shown below it.
thanks so much for this addition it looks great. and the pink pick is well i guess i don’t have to say “LOVE IT!” and I love the Stuy
The lower two pictures on #’s 1 & 2 are of the garden apartment located on the cul de sac on Bainbridge near Lewis.
this is a lovely way to showcase the neighborhood, get people interested in moving here, and let us see what’s on the market. thanks changeling!
How about some SALES!!!!!
I’ll do my best to find some for next week’s post.
#1, and #2 are beautiful apartments in lovely stuy heights. It takes you back in time. Ahhh.
Check out the dangling wire in #3, but it does have nice detail, and old world charm. Not sure I agree with you about the tile in bathroom – it’s making me dizzy. Wow super close to transportation, although I wonder why there are always cops on Utica and Malcom X.
#4 looks like it has a lot of space. Love how the stove hood appears to be suspended in mid air!
Great job Changeling. We look forward to the real estate sales!
ahhhhhhhahahha, the pick is killing me!
I’m happy to inspire. Love, J
The pick is hysterical! Nicely done.
hait the damn pick..why do you find it neccessary?
the pic is a clever idea, and those apts. all look inviting.
I’m sorry that you “hait” it, Bed Stuy’s Finest. I thought that my real estate hot picks should be represented by a hot pick–and let’s face it, that pick is HOT.
I thought about using the guitar pick from Tenacious D’s Pick of Destiny, but I figured you wouldn’t find that funny either.
Stumbled on the website, totally by accident, tripped over something in Google, landed here. I really do wish I knew about your site when I was looking for an affordable place in BK. All good, though…
And the pick really is clever. Funny how something so small can make a difference.
