**Founded in 2004, the mission of The Brooklyn Young Mothers’
Collective is to break the cycle of generational poverty among
pregnant and parenting low-income mothers by helping them actively engage in
improving the conditions that impact their lives. We do this by
providing comprehensive sexuality and reproductive health education,
legal information and advocacy support. We also build leadership
skills in young mothers and organize them to improve the response of
community and government agencies in addressing their needs.**
