Bed-Stuy Christmas Honors!

Do you have a favorite decorated house or apartment in the neighborhood?
After sitting at a stoplight for a loooong time a few nights ago, I’ve decided my favorite is the second-floor apartment above the bodega on the corner of Greene & Throop.
The decoration is simple but effective: The resident has hung plain white curtains in all the windows (and it’s a corner apartment so there are seven windows along the street), put icicle lights at the top of each one and blinking lights and a candle on the sill. And hung in the middle of each window is a red and white Santa stocking. Except in the center window facing Greene, where there’s a Santa hat.
Very nice!

Yeah, sorry about that. We’re working on recreating our mailboxes (this is a part of our website maintenance), so our emails aren’t currently working. As soon as we can get them up and running again, we’ll let you know.

Check out Macon between Ralph and Howard. Probably the most decorated block in all of brownstone Brooklyn.O.k., this is my block- true, but it really has Christmas spirit like no other.
