did you like the wine? I have purchased 2 bottles from her and they were disapointing for the price. I am a regular at the green grape and what I get for the money seems to be of greater quality.
I really don’t like the place after I saw a mouse in there.
It looks ok but the wines are ok.
Nothing to brag about. I guess they want can say they have nice stuff since they are the only ones in the area. But watch out. My friends are taking that area over with resturants. They wont be there long.

The Olivino has a long standing lease with an option to purchse the property in which the wine bar resides.
Restaurants will be the end of the wine business?
90% of the quality eateries in Bed Stuy are failing, so unless it’s a block of Kennedy Fried Chickens I doubt Olivino will be harmed.

It’s not like you can get a perfectly quaffable bottle of muscadet at any bulletproof-glass liquor store in the area…

Very interesting, but…, as they used to say on “Laugh In”. I am trying to improve the community by supporting the businesses and that is what the Bed Stuy Business Alliance (less than a year old) and http://www.shopbedstuy.com are all about. Please support your local fine businesses and be patient and positive.
Build it and they will come, support it and they will stay.
p.s. I don’t own a restaurant.

I LOVE OLIVINO! It is a fantastic wine shop with attractive, good-natured, intelligent employees! I think it’s just wonderful that the staff takes time in educating people about the wine industry. It’s stock caters to the neighborhood’s needs, and it is a very stylish place. Next time they have a tasting, be there!
