Rustik Tavern (A New Watering Hole in Bed-Stuy!)

update1.jpgA reader named Satya recently sent me this wonderful news. I was so excited when she told me that I was happy all week! (Thanks Satya!) It seems that a commercial space on Dekalb between Kent and Franklin is being turned into a restaurant/bar called Rustik Tavern. I’ve passed by it a couple of times to check it out, but each time there was no one around to give me more information on the opening date. I have seen signs of progress, though. When I first visited the location, it was just a turquoise storefront, but the last time I visited, they had the name of the new restaurant/bar in place.

Satya said that one of the construction workers told her that Rustik will open in a couple of months. Isn’t it great that we’ll have another watering hole in the hood?
