I wonder why this house is so cheap. There must be a catch.

NYU for school, and $90K in student loans?

Prada bags?

We need to introduce you to the 99 cent stores. Changeling, you should do a piece on the best bargain stores in the area.

I love the detail in number 1 sales, and the cheap house on 2 seems reasonable. Amy I hope you had a good open house this weekend. Was it hard forming a condominium association, as far as legal fees, requirements, etc.?

You're website looks great, good luck with the property.

Hey Sally,
She would love a studio! It seems so hard to find one without a broker fee, 1bdrms seem more common. If you hear of any let me know. And believe me, we would love to make money while they sit there empty for months(!) but we are already in contract on one (yippie!)and we all agreed we need to have the other empty to show it whenever without disturbing her. So she is staying with us - which I'm sure is a constant disturbance! :)

Sale #1 is not far from the subway at all. I live around the corner (on Marcy on the same block as the second house advertised in the realtor's craigslist ad) and it's one long block and 4 short blocks to the A/C--excellent station! A trains come every few minutes. Sale #1 is only half a short block further.

What a delight every week looking at pictures of these properties. Changeling thanks again!

#1. The mirrors are a little over the top, and I agree about some sleazy music maybe playing. It's a little too sensual and modern looking for me. what happened to all those mahogany woodwork brownstones, aren't they for rent or do people not trust tenants!

#2. Pick of the Week is very nice, but what a high price.

#3. I was getting nervous about the pop quiz, and by the stroke of luck the posting was deleted. Is there some secret connection between Changling, Alexa, and the person who posted this listing..haha.

Sales:
#1. Love the details, and the doors along are worth a fortune. Sucks being far away from a train though.

#2. This seems like a good deal, but what's the catch? It's needs another $100,000 worth of work?

#3. Nothing like having rentals and a little business, but this place seems too out in the open for me. It's like you are a target.

Amy: is your friend looking for a studio apt. for that price? Hey you can rent one of your places to her until all the units sell and make some money off of the empty units!

Laduchessa - too funny! These picks look great! As always thanks! On a related note, if anyone knows of an apartment for rent in the neighborhood for no more than $900 I know a wonderful person who is looking (she is staying with us right now).

For those of you who are heading over to 83 Halsey's open house (and it is a great spot so I hope you try too!) stop by ours too at 145 Halsey. It is happening during the same times (see our ad with website link on the right hand ad column of this blog). Hope to see you all!

I LOVE THE PICK OF THE WEEK!!! also, i love any reference to 80s night-time soap operas. i can only hope you uncover a winery in bed-stuy one of these days so it can be dubbed falcon crest. well played, changeling.

on another note i don't even know what to say about mirror's on nostrand. i am sort of filled with glee at just how over the top it is. i imagine some 70s porno music starts playing the moment you flick the lights on.
