gnarlylogo.jpgThis Saturday, Gnarly Vines is pouring four French reds to warm you on a winter night! Wine tasting events at Gnarly Vines are free. Check it out:

2005 Domaine St Nicolas Pinot Noir, Fiefs Vendeens, Brem – $21
A pure, earth-driven, certified biodynamic Pinot Noir from the Loire Valley. Crushed the old-fashioned way…by foot.

2005 La Piece Sous le Bras, Vin de Pays d’Oc – $13
A modern blend of Syrah, Cab, Merlot and Cinsault that maintains a foot in old world winemaking traditions.

2004 Bastide du Claux, Malacare, Cotes du Luberon – $18
A beautiful French country wine, this blend of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah is medium-bodied with a velvety texture, delicious berry flavors and a long, smooth finish.

2004 Saint Jean du Barroux, L’Oligocene, Cotes du Ventoux – $30
An extraordinary blend of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Cinsault from the the foothills of Mont Ventoux – literally a perennial do-or-die stage in the Tour de France. The stony soil and harsh climatic conditions, remnants of the Oligocene geological period (approx 34-23 million years ago), create a deep, dark, mysterious wine with extraordinary intensity, flavor and minerality. One of Brian’s absolute favorites in the store!

Wines will be served with Tete de Moine and Petit Basque on baguettes.
