Changeling, I gave you a hard time about the “tranny” post. However, I was wrong and very shortsighted. You do an excellent job with your posts and you’re very dedicated to Bed-Stuy! I do wish more people would leave a comment when they visit your site. It’s always good to hear the comments of others.

As for Olivino…I would encourage any and everyone to purchase all of their wine and champagne from Olivino. They have great customer service and a diverse selection. Admittedly, you have to make a conscious decision to buy from them because of all the competition out there in other neighborhoods.

Nevertheless, they have done their part by opening a store in Bed-Stuy. Let’s do our part to make sure they stay. See you at the wine tasting!

Aww, thanks Fitz! I don’t mind your giving me a hard time. It keeps this blogging thing fun.

Ditto on the support for Olivino! They deliver don’t they?

i haven’t made it to the bed-stuy olivino yet but am a freqent flyer at the clinton hill location. oddly enough the CH one is actually more convenient for me. i will be making a point of supporting the bed-stuy spot, though, to ensure they want to stick around.

i’m not sure about delivery (i know greene grape does) but that’s a service i’d like to know about, too. they really do have a great selection in all price ranges. in particular i love their selection of spanish wines, including an excellent dessert wine that i cannot think of the name right now. it makes a really good gift.

A friend forwarded an invite to me and I found out about this link. Luv it! I think you should print out some little flyers and distribute them around the homes to let folks know that there’s a blog dedicated to our piece of heaven in NYC. I hate the house litter but I at least read it on the way to the garbage and wld appreciate this notice.

As a wine love extraodinaire, I will definitely go by Olivino (it’s around the corner)… Any idea of the cost??

Hi Mai, thanks for the kind words. I should get a little more aggressive with the marketing–I’ll definitely get on that. :)
