The Whole Pig

By Alexa11221 | May 30, 2008

I don’t know much about BBQ (I am, after all, from Connecticut) but I see that the Upper Room Full Gospel Baptist Church (corner of Marcus Garvey and Van Buren) is offering BBQ tonight (May 30) and Saturday night (May 31), sponsored by the Men’s Ministry and hosted by “The BBQ Kings.”

The menu includes dinners or sandwiches of Chopped BBQ, BBQ Chicken, Fried Fish, and Fried Chicken and sides of Seasoned Yellow Rice, Macaroni & Cheese, Potato Salad, Fresh Collard Greens and String Beans (the flier says “no pork in vegetables,” but I don’t know if that means they’re vegetarian).

Food is available 11 am - 6 pm both days. Prices range from $2 for sides and desserts up to $7 for a Chopped BBQ dinner.

You can call in your order to 718 574 4000 or fax it to 718 573 4048.

Hey aja, thanks for mentioning Royal Rib House. Someone else told me about it and they also said that the bbq was delicious. Gonna have to get over there…
