The Hattie Carthan community garden invites you to attend our 4th annual International Food festival. Come, taste the flavors of Brooklyn and groove to the sounds of international music.
We will have a live blues band and an African percussion circle facilitated by drum recording artist/circle facilitator and community gardener Yonnette Fleming/co-facilitated by drum/dance teacher and physical therapist Michael Sampson.
This is an opportunity to meet community gardeners, local food actists, share international recipes, learn about home made beverages as a healthy alternative to carbonated beverages and to discover the art of connecting with others through rhythmic entrainment.
Bring your purse, taste buds, drums, organic instruments and your dancing feet for an afternoon of culture sharing. All foods have been prepared by our garden members.
Our theme: Many cultures working as one community!
