Hello! My name is Melissa D. Haile, and I am the EBT Market Manager for the Ft. Greene Park Greenmarket, a Farmers’ Market held Saturdays on Washington Park and Dekalb Avenues. We are one of over 40 Greenmarket locations in New York City featuring fresh local foods – fruits and vegetables, juice, dairy, and baked goods – grown and produced within 200 miles of the city. Ft. Greene Park Greenmarket is open year-round.

And just so you know, there are two other market locations close to you:

We think local food is the best food there is:

There’s always something new at the Greenmarket each week, and not just fresh, quality produce you won’t find at your local grocery store. Fort Greene Park hosts a number of free events throughout the summer, including a concert series, Afro-Punk, and more – so bring a blanket, invite your friends and pick up some fresh fruit, juice, bread, and cheese from the market for a relaxing Saturday afternoon get-together.

Greenmarket also hosts educational activities like cooking demonstrations and tours, and special guests like the Park Rangers and chefs from neighborhood restaurants.

What’s more, Ft. Greene Park Greenmarket, the Bed-Stuy Youthmarket, and Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket now accept EBT, Credit and Debit cards through November. Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) checks given to Seniors and WIC recipients and Healthbucks are also accepted at these markets.

Please help me get the word out!

Feel free to forward this email to your friends, family, and neighbors.

In addition, if you have a group that would be interested in a free tour of the Greenmarket, just contact me!

I look forward to seeing you at the Greenmarket!

Be Well,

Melissa D. Haile
