I was walking along Dekalb a few days ago and I noticed a yellow awning that I’d never seen before. The awning read “Sucre Coffee Jazz Lounge.” Is this a new spot on Dekalb, or is this an old place that closed a long time ago?

On another note, around the corner from this (on Bedford Ave), the other coffee shop is supposed to open this Saturday!

Dont bother, Boring food, lackluster service
This place is really cozy and a great chill spot. It just opened about two months ago and I have just begun to become a regular. There are other coffee spots around but the vibe here is really nice…and there’s free WiFi!
I love the new sandwiches and salads and I heard from one of the owners that they’re going to start BYOB and Tapas menu some time in May. Love the back patio!
me and my wife can’t wait to chek it out we from chi-town for laborday weekend we gonna make this spot lakay nou.
This place is great! i love the energy! Jean is a cool cat, i love the teas but their coffee could use some work, but like everyone says on here, it just opened so it’s a working process right?
Aug 6, 2009
Well it’s great to see that Sucre Coffee and Jazz lounge has become a cool, organically uprooted Live Music and Entertainment Venue in Brooklyn. I went there on Sunday- just past, and the place was super chill, I broke my lap top out, before i knew it hours past, there was a back yard party, and everyone was so interesting. I’ve not been by there in the evening as of yet, but, I hear it’s “real nice, active, Dj’s, games, a mature crowd of some of the coolest people you’d ever want to meet, oh and the live entertainment is crazy, you should come on a thursday or friday.” Said, a female whom ask me if I noticed if Sucre was open, as I was halfway down the block, and she was heading to Sucre. I told her they were closing and ask what’s it like usually- she told me the above. I’ll See you’ll at Sucre
Peace,
Good Vibes
