If someone had told me, way back when I was in undergrad, that Kevin from The Real World was going to be one of my choices for Congress, I wouldn’t have believed it.

I wish Heather B were running for Congress…

Seriously, this is am important election for this district. He may well known for his MTV days but this man may very well change the way politics are done here in Bed Stuy. Ed Towns may have been a force in the 70′s and 80′s but what is he really doing in 2008? Look at our lack of services in this community, crime, poverty (yes it does exist in Bed Stuy) and schools. Seems like Change is definitely in order.

      Just something to think about…

I heard a rumor that David Chappelle is going to be making an appearance, to make up for the July event he missed. Just the rumor out there, but if so, I’m there!!!

Yeah, Ed Towns has been doing nothing for this area for a while.

As an avid reader of this blog, I’ve noticed the lack of interest in community politics on this blog. Everyone can break a posting record when it comes to Fresh Direct, but the leadership of the place they call home is an after thought. It saddens me that we are so worried about the new cafe on the corner or the cutesy loft condo on Lexington than we are the future of this community. The Politics section of the forumn has zero post.

Are you even aware that the Assembly race is in September. Does it matter who represnts your district in Congress for 2009?

We all complain about the crime, lack of amenities & services, dirty sidewalks and recreational areas. Do we realize our current leadership has done nothing to combat any of this?

      Just something to think about!
