Brooklyn Clothing Exchange Presents swap*meet

By The Changeling | November 12, 2008

What’s a clothing swap, you say?

A clothing swap is an excellent way to recycle clothing. It is a fun, smart, eco-friendly and inexpensive way to get rid of all the clothes, shoes, and accessories that you never wear but have been taking up space. At the same time, you can find a bunch of new clothes and meet
interesting people!

A clothing swap is a type of swap meet where participants donate their unwanted clothing and then are given the opportunity to go through the clothes of everyone else in attendance and can take whatever they want. Clothing swaps are considered a good way to both declutter and refill one’s wardrobe.

All ages, all sizes, all styles are welcome. Please bring at least one bag of clean clothing or other wearable items and prepare to have a great time!

We represent residents, homeowners, business owners and anyone interested and dedicated to the happenings in Bed Stuy. Caught between Clinton Hill and Bushwick, south of Williamsburg, but north of Restoration Plaza, we were starved for some local focus and decided it was time to do it ourselves! Thanks for reading.
