I recently received this cute flyer from Polish Bar of Brooklyn. It offers some reasonably priced gift ideas ($100 or less) for the beauty conscious people on your Christmas list. It also mentions this month’s specials at other fashion/beauty businesses in the area: collecther vintage, Joseph Tyler Salon and Carol’s Daughter.

When I first saw that place, i got all excited that it was Polish bar, as in the culture of Poland, with perhaps beer from Poland, pierogies, kielbasa, etc. Am I the only one who was disappointed to learn that it’s a nail salon?
LOL. I think a good number of people thought that. I assumed it was Polish too, what with Greenpoint being so close.
