My daughter’s school has planned activities for the day, too. They were instructed to wear celebratory red, white, and blue to their assembly. I’m sure the other schools here in Bed-Stuy will celebrate with their students, too.
For those, like me, who will enjoy the festivities from the comfort of their own homes, there are many stations’ coverage to choose from. I’ll be watching with my children, flipping back and forth between MTV and TV One. However you spend the day, I’m sure that it will shape up to be one that none of us will forget!
