CIBS Symposium on Strategies for Dealing with the Economic Environment

The CIBS (Coalition for the Improvement of Bedford-Stuyvesant) Asset Building Network is having a press conference and symposium this Saturday, February 21st at the First AME Zion Church. The symposium is called “Strategies for Dealing with The Economic Environment.” Here’s the information that they’ve sent us about the program:

David Ushery, Anchor, WNBC 4 New York will moderate the CIBS (Coalition for the Improvement of Bedford-Stuyvesant) Asset Building Symposium at the historical First AME Zion Church located at 54 McDonough Street and Tompkins Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. The event will be held on Saturday, February 21st from 10:00 a.m – 3:00 p.m. Come early, seats are limited. Call 212-736-0404.

The program kicks off with a 9:30 a.m. press conference introducing CIBS to the public and media followed by a symposium which will focus on many issues affecting the Bedford-Stuyvesant community including foreclosure prevention, home owner services, financial education services, tax liens, job development and social services.

CIBS is a collective of agencies including Bridge Street Development Corporation, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, Pratt Area Council and twenty other not-for-profit agencies in Centeral Brooklyn.
