With the county in financial turmoil and unemployment rate rising at an alarming rate, why not thrift instead of shop?

There will be a clothing swap this Saturday at noon at the Macon Library on Lewis Ave.

The organizer also welcomes old sweaters and jeans to use in some craft projects she has planned for a teen group.

Hope to see you there, please let your friends know!

Clothing Swap

Clothes swapping combines ethical shopping, bargain hunting and social networking.  Clothing swaps are an excellent, eco-friendly way to keep clothing circulating through the community and extending their usefulness and lifetime.

Clean out that closet full of clothes you’re not wearing and look for a few new pieces to add to your collection!

Any clothing left over will be donated to the Salvation Army and local shelters.
