Guy Ambrosino Examines the Atlantic Yards in What Was

Here’s an interesting gallery show taking place today in Brooklyn:

Artist Guy Ambrosino uses raw materials acquired from the deconstruction of the Atlantic Yards site, (directly across the street from the Gallery) in an installation that is meant to be a document/reference of What Was. His work focuses on the memory of place and our communal ability to honor and learn from it.

Opens Saturday February 28th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Soap Box Gallery 636 Dean Street, Brooklyn, NY
5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Barrette 601 Vanderbilt Ave., Brooklyn, NY
Info/Contact Guy Ambrosino: 917-648-5138

  1. Naomi Sachs says:

This is a beautiful piece, and a thoughtful homage to the Atlantic Yards site that was. I encourage people to see it while it’s up.
