SarahJames Speakeasy to Open on Throop

Here’s another opening to salivate over! According to Eater, James Palminteri will be opening a new place called SarahJames on Throop Avenue and Pulaski Street here in Bed-Stuy. This bar, kitchen and dining room will sport decor reminiscent of the Depression Era–perfect given the current economic climate. I’ve already added SarahJames to my pubcrawl list. Click over to Eater to find out more details as well as the projected opening date.

Any readers live in this area of the neighborhood? Think this will be a good fit for the area?

UPDATE: SarahJames has opened on 217 Pulaski Street!

This is very exciting news! I live two short blocks away at Throop and Willoughby. There is absolutely nothing like this nearby, bar or restaurant. This corner of Bed-Stuy deserves a little nightlife action. Even if the food is only decent it will be a very welcome establishment.

That’s actually kind of near me! I’ll have to check it out.

  4. James is a former neighbor of ours. We’ve had his food and you guys have lots to look forward to – should be a great addition to the neighborhood.
