PICK OF THE WEEK!
#1 — $1350 — 2 BR: This is a nice, sunny reasonably priced two bedroom in a convenient location in the neighborhood. It has a nice floorplan that makes it great for shares (the two bedrooms are not next to one another). Even though the bedrooms are on the small side, this looks like it’s worth the price. It’s the Pick of the Week because it’s wallet friendly. Bed-Wick Myrtle JZ
#2 — $1100/$475 — 2 BR: Not sure why this is a “must see” apartment on “Norstram” and Willoughby (Jesus! Don’t these landlords and agents ever bother to check their spelling?). This landlord is renting out a two bedroom apartment by picking tenants for each bedroom, so instead of advertising it as a 2 bedroom apartment for $1575, they’re calling it an $1100 room and a $475 room. Since the place has two bathrooms and is an area filled with Pratt students, they’ll probably get the rent they’re asking for. This apartment is near Tiny Cup, Home Depot, Duane Reade and Family Dollar, so this is as “prime” as North Stuy gets. Willoughby and Nostrand Myrtle-Willoughby G
#3 — $1900 — 2 BR: This is a nice looking apartment in a brownstone on a great block. It’s a 2 bedroom duplex with an extra room (office space, maybe?). It’s got two bathrooms, which is, in my opinion, always a bonus, and a walk-in closet in the master bedroom. There’s no broker fee on this apartment and heat and hot water are included, but unfortunately, there is a one time $500 management fee. It’s just around the corner from the nice shops on Lewis and not too far from the Foodtown on Fulton. It’s a bit pricey, but certainly not the most expensive 2 bed I’ve seen in this neighborhood. There’s no website for this one, but I have the agent’s information. If you’re interested in this apartment contact Matthew Revie (mrevie@rapidnyc.com, 347-232-6622). #1 — $499,000 — 3 family: The Tangerine Dream is for sale! When I first took a photo of this home in the fall of 2007, I thought it was such a pretty color. I think I like it because it makes me think of Miami or the Caribbean. It’s not on one of those “intact” blocks; there is a variety of housing on both sides and just next door to this home there is a vacant lot used for parking. According to the website it needs work, but the owner is willing to consider all offers. Awww, somebody buy this Orange Push-Up and make it as colorful on the inside as it is on the outside.

Heh, we’ve been calling our house ‘Bedwick Manor’. I’m glad to see the meme is starting to spread. . .
“Bedwick Manor!” Love it! LOL
