Accomplished African-American film director and screenwriter of hit films such as Soul Men, Roll Bounce, Undercover Brother and Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins visits the Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA to inspire local youth to purse career in filmmaking and to discuss hot topics in filmmaking with members of the local community. The discussion will be focused on African-Americans on the big screen, the deconstruction of the filmmaking process and filmmaking as a career. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A.
