Looks like this brickfront Colonial styled home located on Halsey Street and Malcolm X Boulevard is just about finished, but it didn’t always look like this. Check out the house before the flip, thanks to Google Maps. Anyone know more information – interior features, asking price?

I like the reno, but now the row looks like a patchwork quilt.
I don’t like this reno. That recessed part on the second floor looks weird. I can’t imagine what the facade on the first floor is going to look like. Maybe if there weren’t a setback on the second level I would appreciate this building more. Maybe. In any case, the three buildings in this photo look strange side by side.
They might not have wanted to spend the money to bring the facade forward and flushm bu, at least it’s not an eyesore anymore.
the side part is probably an addition to the original. I don’t know why they set it back though. Houses which are not the usual 20′ wide, typical brownstone layout always intrigue me though.
@ alexa11221, its not an addition to the property in the manner you think. The beauty supplies storefront is an extension forward off the original property’s footprint. This was actually the backyard to the larger corner property which was sold at some point to a developer who decided to stick something on that plot of earth.
One thing is certain, you can’t improve upon a bad decision no matter how pretty you make it.
