Trash Art
The artful, urban signage on this Stuyvesant Avenue corner brownstone says it all. Also note the creepy fingers crawling out of the flower pot!

New Art on the Malcolm X Street Canvas
New black and white contrast art on the abandoned storefronts on Malcolm X Boulevard, between Macon & MacDonough Streets. I don’t know when this was painted, but it wasn’t there a few weeks ago as I can recall. Does anyone know more about what inspired this or the artist?

The organizers are planning their 11th season now and are looking for film suggestions. Many parents with younger kids have told them that [...]

The film production of HBO’s original new series about Atlantic City in its glory days returned to Bed-Stuy this week. They’ve taken over the Stuyvesant Heights Landmark Senior Citizens Center (375 Stuyvesant Avenue at Decatur Street). They had a film shoot there last month but this time, the production is larger and the crews are working [...]
