If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Reading

Today at the Marcy Library ESPN sports reporter Stephen A. Smith will be reading If You Give a Mouse a Cookie to first graders from PS 305 and pre-schoolers from The Salvation Army Pre-School from 11:00 a.m. to noon. This event is a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the publication of the classic children’s book by Laura Joffe Numeroff. Groups all over the country are reading this book and celebrating Read Across America Day so come be a part of this nationwide effort.

Stephen A. Smith, a native of Hollis, Queens, built his foundation as a journalist over the course of 14 years in New York and Philadelphia. Once widely recognized as one of the most popular voices on ESPN, he is still one of the preeminent voices in the African-American Community.
