New Market for Myrtle

Good news! The ground floor space at the corner of Myrtle and Spencer will become a kosher supermarket. This is one block away from the smallish Fig Tree Market and four blocks from the little Kent Avenue produce market. While both of those places are great and they definitely meet some of the needs of the area, this part of the neighborhood could certainly use a real grocery store. We’ll be watching this one closely. Thanks to Meowzas for the tip and the photo!

Oh Great! That means roaches and rats for the tenants of 144 Spencer Street. Wonderful.

Ha-ha! Most places around here already have rats so that’s no biggie. The roaches will be a new addition though.
