Renovations Still In Effect at Brooklyn Public Library Macon Branch

The Brooklyn Public Library Macon Branch (361 Lewis Avenue at Macon Street) recently got a good brick exterior cleaning.  The library will remain closed for the next few weeks for repairs and window installations and is scheduled to reopen on Monday, August 2nd.

Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Gets A Facelift

Stuyvesant Heights is home to several historical churches.  Among them is Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church (230 Decatur Street at Lewis Avenue), which is undergoing alterations approved by the City of New York Landmarks Preservation Commission.  A temporary posting board along with permits explain the alterations.  Exterior work will include brick repointing, installation of new copper scuppers [...]
