Actor/filmmaker Ephraim Benton continues his Chillin on da Corner and Beyond film series this Tuesday, July 6th. The day-long event will include a health fair followed by a basketball game and a film screening. The films include the New York premiere of “White Boy Brown” which is about an African-American family who takes in a white foster child. Several short films will also be screened.
Please come on out and support this event! Benton has been an indefatigable organizer of this film series–he’s put in some of his own money to make the event happen, he’s been reaching out to neighborhood organizations to get them involved and he’s been heavily promoting the event. (He even found us a the Brooklyn Blogfest and made sure we got the information about upcoming films!) To find out more about the series check out www.chillinondacorner.com
