Just spoke to Rev. Robert Jackson of the Brooklyn Rescue Mission, who is super excited about this year’s Malcolm X Community Farmer’s Market season starting tomorrow!
In addition to fresh locally grown produce, this year there will be fresh eggs, cheese, bread, honey, and more! The market will be every Saturday rain or shine from 8am-2pm on Malcolm X btwn Chauncey and Marion-directly in front of Jackie Robinson Park.
There will also be an opening day party after the market at the Bed Stuy Farm (404 Decatur St btwn Malcolm X and Patchen) following the market day from 4:30-7pm (weather permitting). Please join the Brooklyn Rescue Mission for some food, music, and fun to kick off another successful market season!

YEAH!! Looking forward to this. We are spreading the word….
Curious, is the food at the market organic? Or “just” locally grown?
