Wine and dine there at night, but go there for a cup of joe in the morning! Therapy Wine Bar (364 Lewis Avenue, between Macon and Halsey Streets) kicks off their coffee bar with a FREE CUP of coffee from 7-10AM. You can get your coffee to go or stay and lounge. Croissants, scones, danishes, and tea will also be available. Choose to stay inside where it’s air conditioned or chill outside on the backyard deck. Free Wi-Fi too. If you stop by, let us know how it turned out. Do you think you’ll make Therapy a part of your morning commute?

This is an ambitious plan to taking over breakfast from Bread-Stuy. A suggestion will be to change the business model to a full bar service with finger food. I believe that the demand for an adult oriented meeting place is growing in Stuyvesant Heights.
I love to see Therapy expanding their offerings. It’s such a nice place and I hope to see it grow. It’s not close enough to me for it to be on my morning route, but if it were I would stop by for sure!
I actually think they should de-emphasize wine and be more of a full bar which serves wine. I think adding coffee is a good idea. The storefront is there and you might as well bring in more revenue (as long as the revenue is more than the cost of expanding operating hours).
I have no sense of how well they are doing.
Very nice space and friendly people. Would be nice if they served a couple of eggs with home fries since that is not possible to get breakfast anywhere before 10am.
It sounds like a place I’d like to visit and feel out. I didn’t know it existed and I’m about 5 blocks away.
If there was enough demand, maybe folks could encourage Ma n Pop to do a breakfast run from 7am-10am M-F.
Everything Scratch on Rochester between Herkimer and Fulton is open at 7am and the diner across from the 79 is open for breakfast. Or should be.
