Some of the same folks and organizations that founded 123 Community Space have started a new project in our neighborhood! The Brooklyn Free Store in Bed-Stuy has been open continuously for over two months now, facilitating mutual aid and reducing the need for consumerism though the free exchange of clothing, electronics, books, and much more. Now it’s time to celebrate! On Saturday, September 11th, they are inviting everyone to a day of skillshares, live music, free food, and fun! Come to learn bike repair, get your face painted, or simply hang out and get to know your neighbors this Saturday at the Free Store. The Brooklyn Free Store is collectively run and belongs to everyone who participates. Come and share your visions for events and projects you would like to see in this completely open neighborhood space.
