I like to have my Christmas tree up by Thanksgiving (yes, I’m one of THOSE people), but I’m unfortunately on the timetable of the Christmas tree vendors who don’t usually appear around here until December. I walked around looking at trees this past weekend, but I didn’t buy one yet. I’m going to have to make a decision today, because I feel miserable when my place isn’t decorated for Christmas! In the past I’ve gotten trees from the guys on Myrtle and Hall. Their trees are nice and there’s a delivery option.
One year I decided that I’d had enough of Fraser and Douglas firs so I decided to hunt for some other type of tree. That year I found a really nice Scotch pine from Windswept Farms, the vendor that sets up in front of the church on the corner of Clinton and Lafayette. The guy from Windswept Farms is soooo nice and his delivery guy brought my tree upstairs and set it up in my living room (and I didn’t ask him or wave money in front of him to get him to do it). I loved that Scotch pine, although the limbs weren’t sturdy enough to hold some of my heavier ornaments.

I’ve never gotten a tree from Home Depot, but they seem to have a nice selection of trees, wreaths and centerpieces this year. I’m not sure if they deliver though.
So for those of you who celebrate and decorate for Christmas, where are you getting your trees from? Do you have a favorite vendor?

I’ve bought trees at Home Depot before, but I never thought to ask if they would deliver! I just called a car service.
We got a 10 footer from Home Depot this year. We just “borrow” one of their orange rolling carts and bring it back right away. We always get it from Home Depot, nice trees!
