Bedford Hill on Franklin

I first heard about Franklin Avenue’s new coffee bar, Bedford Hill, on Grub Street. It’s a nice looking place and it was quite packed on the morning that I passed by. The early Yelp reviews are all good, so it looks like it’s a winner for Franklin Avenue. Have you checked it out [...]

I’ve been waiting forever to see this place open! Bombay Heights is the new Indian restaurant on the corner of Bedford and Greene Avenues. I picked up a menu a week ago and it looks like they have a nice variety of dishes. Even though I’m bummed that they don’t have jalebi (guess I [...]

New Building on Bedford

I’ve gotta admit that I didn’t have high hopes for 1076 Bedford, but it looks a lot better than I expected. I like the color and the design on the balconies. I’m not in love with those open spaces on the third, fourth and fifth floors–it looks like the balconies should’ve been extended like [...]

Welcome to Alcatraz

A new Mexican place has opened in the old Lulita space at 344 Franklin Avenue. (How long was Lulita open anyway? A month? Six weeks?) I sure hope this restaurant can stick around a little longer. It’s a tiny space, more of a take out than a dine in sort of place. I [...]
