Still Snowed In?

I received this from the Chairman of CB3, Henry L. Butler late Monday:

Ms. Phillips the district manager spoke to sanitation garage superintendent Cutrupi for an update. He stated they are having a hard time removing the snow because so many vehicles including mta buses are stuck in the middle of the blocks. They don’t have enough tow trucks to remove the vehicles in a reasonable time. I have seen snow removal trucks within the last hour.
Their will be no garbage pick up until all the snow is removed.

Are your blocks looking any better today?

  1. I guess that explains why my block near Ralph was plowed after midnight Tuesday morning but the rest of the avenue going towards Nostrand was not. Even though it sucks, people should try their best not to curb their garbage until this is resolved.

The garbage is really piling up on Myrtle, so I agree. We shouldn’t put it out until we absolutely have to. It’s times like these when I realize how much garbage I produce.

My block is not plowed yet because someone’s car is stuck diagonally in the middle. It’s not even a big car, just badly placed. But, as it turns out, Lexington Ave is a secondary road, so at least all the other blocks are clear!

  4. I don’t understand why home and business owners don’t feel the need to clear their sidewalks. This is asinine.
