Bed-Stuy BID Town Hall Meeting

A town hall meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 29th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Representatives from the Long Island Railroad will be on-hand to discuss the Atlantic Street closure and its impact on local traffic. Also, the EDC and the Construction Manager for the Fulton Streetscape Project will discuss the project’s potential impact on local businesses.

    Why are town hall meetings scheduled in the mornings, when many people who work can’t attend?

    I wish they’d scheduled it at another time so that more people could get involved. Perhaps emailing them about this may get them to schedule the next one at time that is more convenient for the 9 to 5 set.

    What portions of Atlantic Avenue are they preparing to close??

    I’m wondering if it is the area around Nostrand/Atlantic since the LIRR reps will be there and that is where the LIRR station is located. I’ve emailed someone to see if they have this info.
