NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission Finishes Bed-Stuy Study

LPC first surveyed Bed-Stuy in the 1970s, resulting in the creation of the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District in 1973.
Since then, residents have requested the creation of additional historic districts, but in the mysterious fashion common to city agencies, no further areas were designated until the advent of 2009′s Alice and Agate Courts Historic District.

Random Pictures of Storm Damage

Tree limbs fell on cars along Marcus Garvey Boulevard.

There was also a tree on my block with the top sheared clean off by the wind, a typical sign of tornado damage, according to the New York Times.
