Flip This House: Brownstone on Lewis Avenue & Madison Street
This potential four story brownstone and brick beauty has been boarded up for a bit now. It’s located on the corner of Lewis Avenue and Madison Street and diagonally faces the historical Cornerstone Baptist Church. Does anyone have any further information about this building?

Flip This House: Stuyvesant Avenue & Hancock Street Corner Property
This commercial and residential building looks like it had some charm once upon a time. It has been in this state for at least a year with very little improvement made to it. The contact number lists the NYC Housing Preservation and Development as the owner. Does anyone know how long this building has been [...]

In Development: The Garvey Apartments
Construction is starting to peer above the sidewalk barriers. Postings reveal this will be the future site of The Garvey Apartments, located on Fulton Street between Lewis Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard. It’s designated to be affordable housing for New Yorkers. Work is scheduled to be completed a year from now. Also to note [...]

Not Quite Finished
This Chauncey Street wooden four storied structure has been sitting idle, among others in Bed-Stuy. Located on the south side of the street between Stuyvesant Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard, it actually sits as a divider between two types of housing: well-kept brick row houses on one side and six story low-income apartment buildings on [...]
2222 Stuyvesant Avenue?
How could a home located on a 300 block of Stuyvesant suddenly have a four digit number? Well, the Stuyvesant Heights Landmark Senior Citizens Center (375 Stuyvesant Avenue at Decatur Street) now does. Well, not really. It appears to be another prop for HBO’s original drama series Boardwalk Empire. At this point, the building has [...]
Asbestos Abatement Scheduled For Fulton Street Buildings
Most of these mixed-use attached buildings on Fulton Street between Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Albany Avenue have stood drearily and abandoned for years. Suddenly last week, buildings 1562 – 1576 Fulton Street and 43 Albany Avenue have been scheduled for a controlled demolition with asbestos in place. The abatement is set to begin on Friday March [...]

Flipping Out On Halsey Street
Looks like this brickfront Colonial styled home located on Halsey Street and Malcolm X Boulevard is just about finished, but it didn’t always look like this. Check out the house before the flip, thanks to Google Maps. Anyone know more information – interior features, asking price?

Commercial Property For Rent: 101 Saratoga Avenue
Heading over to the east side of Bed-Stuy, there’s an interesting corner storefront property available for rent. Located on the northeast corner of Saratoga Avenue and Decatur Street (101 Saratoga Avenue), the store is a part of a four story building that looks like it had a nice brickfront renovation. You can see the bright details and [...]
