Mausaic Cafe is Now Open!

I was pretty sad when Food 4 Thought on the corner of Marcus Garvey and MacDonough closed down, so Mausaic is a welcome encarnation of its former space! I haven’t had the chance to stop in, but I walked past it this evening and it appears to be a charming spot w/ outdoor seating. I [...]

Ready to Dine

Are you ready to dine?
Bed-Stuy has had the nickname “Do or Die” for years now, but a better nickname, at least for Bedford Avenue, would be Do or Dine.  It looks like a brand new restaurant has figured this out and has adopted this new nickname for itself.  Do or Dine, located at 1108 Bedford Avenue [...]

I Crave Crave!

We’ve been getting a lot of emails about the latest addition to Patchen Avenue, the new eatery called Crave.  The spot is located on Patchen between Macon and MacDonough, and most of you will remember that there have been A LOT of other eateries that have tried to make things work in this location.  Let us do a recap, shall we?

Openings on Halsey

A tipster wrote in to tell us that the bodega on the corner of Halsey and Lewis (pictured above) has added produce stands to its offerings.  It looks well stocked!  Isn’t this the same area where the Lewis Avenue farmers market sets up?  If so, I guess the bodega owners must’ve seen how many people [...]

La Table Exquise’s New Venture: $20 All You Can Eat Sunday Brunch

I was at La Table Exquise Saturday to try their potato gratin and do my taxes – I figured I would indulge in something good while I do one of my least favorite things. In-between bites of creamy gratin potatoes topped with black truffle oil (!!!), Chef Sebastien excitedly invited me to their Sunday [...]
